The Problem
- Students outside major cities struggle to see credible employers or pathways.
- Schools want employer links but lack time, templates, and a repeatable model.
- Employers are open to helping but fear "time‑sink" internships.
Our Solution
A lightweight, repeatable pipeline co‑run with schools and local employers:
- Career Talks (45–60 min) — inspiring, practical sessions. (Future: online, in collaboration with Sofia partners)
- Job‑Shadow Days (1–2 days) — on‑site exposure to roles and workflows. (Future)
- Externships / Remote Projects (20–30 hrs) — scoped tasks students complete with mentor support.
What Makes It Different?

Safeguarding & Logistics

Programs
We pilot three formats that scale with school and employer capacity.
Career Talks
45–60 minutes · In‑class or online. Practical introductions to careers, tools, and pathways.
- Audience: Grades 8–12
- Outcome: Awareness; optional follow‑up tasks
Job‑Shadow Days
1–2 days · On‑site observation of roles, meetings, and workflows.
- Audience: Selected students with interest & consent
- Outcome: Reflection worksheet; optional mini‑assignment
Externships / Remote Projects
20–30 hours · Scoped projects students complete with a mentor and midpoint check‑in.
- Audience: Motivated students (application + teacher reference)
- Outcome: Tangible deliverable; presentation to the team
Conversion to Internship
High‑performing students may be invited to continue as interns or summer hires at the employer’s discretion.
